Farrar | Wright, PLLC celebrates the formal organization of Middle Tennessee Lawyers’ Association for Women (MTLAW). Amy Farrar sought to form this organization after being active in the Marion Griffin Chapter of LAW in Nashville early on in her career. Sonya Smith Wright joined with Farrar and invited other Founding Members Diana Benson Burns, Lara Daniel, and Susan McGannon, to join them in starting a Middle Tennessee chapter of the organization. MTLAW was organized at a meeting of thirty local attorneys on March 16, 2017. The MTLAW goals are to focus on issues of concern to women in the legal profession, including the efficient administration of justice and diversity of the bench and bar. Membership in MTLAW is open to law students, law school graduates and practicing attorneys – male or female – who support the goals of the Association.
